Our Story: Established: 1967 Louie Figone, the owner of Figone Nursery, has a deep heritage in the flower industry. His roots trace back to San Bruno, CA, where his father transitioned from growing vegetable crops during WWII to cultivating cut flowers in 1949. In July 1967, Louie left the family business to start his own flower-growing venture on rented land. Figone Nursery initially focused on marguerite daisies, and by 1983, the nursery expanded to include mini carnations, stock, delphinium, larkspur, and alstroemeria. The pivotal moment came in 1997 when they began growing dahlias, leading to their current specialization. Today, Figone Nursery cultivates dahlias, ranunculus, callas, heather, and lavender on approximately 20 acres.
